Mar 29, 2019 Determine if Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit. The Windows operating system has a maximum amount of RAM that it will recognize. If you have more RAM installed than is allowed, the extra RAM will not be used. This limit is determined by whether Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit. See this guide for details on checking your copy of Windows.
'sdfox 7, I've seen many of your posts regarding Win98 & workarounds for running modern apps with it. I'm curious if you've experimented with 98Lite or KernelEX?'Mickliq, I didn't want to mess with 98lite because I do not want to lose the Win98 Explorer and compromise the genuine feel of the Win98 OS.
Yes, I have installed Kernel Ex. That's how I get Acrobat Reader, Firefox 4 Beta, and the current version of VLC to run (VLC's webpage even promotes the use of Kernel Ex, see here (scroll down).)
I have Logitech EX100 wireless desktop hooked up, little did I know that the USB drivers included for the reciever would also work with my USB Audio, 8GB San Disk Cruzer, and SD Multi-Card Reader. I would recommend everyone to download the setpoint241 and install the included drivers for your card readers if you don't have them, it contains USB 2.0 drivers for mass storage devices, and it the best solution I've seen yet for getting media card readers to work without having to make any separate hacks. I originally tried NUSB on mdgx.com with no success. This whole setup makes Windows 98 compatibility extremely close to XP while preserving MS-DOS compatibility..
